If you ask a child to draw a car, it often resembles a G-Class. It’s a classic, a legend.
We had the incredible experience of shooting the 500,000th Mercedes-Benz G-Class alongside its iconic 1986 brother under the scorching Austrian sun. After our shoot, this milestone vehicle made its way to the Mercedes-Benz museum.
Mercedes-Benz says, “The G-Class has been writing its own success story since 1979. Now, number 500,000 of this off-road icon has left the production line in Graz, Austria. It’s a figure that at the same time underscores its exclusivity as it took more than four decades to reach this important milestone. The commemorative one-off takes us back to its roots – with vintage looks evocative of the 280 ge from one of the very first model years.”

Desmond went to Kenya to document the ASICS Chojo training camp in Iten. Kenya immediately gave a warm welcome with so many friendly faces.
“Walking a few sets of stairs to my bedroom gasping for air I realised the altitude”, says Des. Iten sits 2400 meters high. That’s why the world of endurance athletes comes here to train. We had the honour of shooting Antonina Kwambai (Toronto marathon winner 2022), Mekdes Woldu (French half marathon record holder), John Korir (LA marathon winner 2022) and loads of other champions.
The seven days felt like two. So many new friends were made! Big thanks to ASICS and Hotseat Agency.
Summer vibes shoot for INTERSPORT’s spring/summer swim collection shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
1-day shoot at the pool. 1-day shoot at the beach. Stills and video in several formats to be used on INTERSPORT’s social media channels, instore channels, websites, etc. Fabulous weather. A dream team of people whom we have worked with many times and some for the very first time. It couldn’t have been a more fun, helpful, and ambitious team.

The Toyota Hilux 4×4 is the ultimate machine to take on the desert. Tried and tested. Shot for Bush and Desert Car Hire, a brand new company renting out 4×4 vehicles in southern Africa for adventures and safari. We took one of the well-kitted-out vehicles off-road on a road trip and had a super time.

[commercial] We jumped straight on it when we were asked for an exciting job involving loads of photoshopping! The idea was to create Tinder profile pictures of the Chateau Del Rei can (sparkling wine). With a big up-to-scale can we created a few scenarios. What a fun challenge!

The all-new Subaru Crosstrek shot in the Cederberg. Concept, production, shoot, and edit by DNA photographers. Shot for Subaru Southern Africa.
A few weeks back we went on a cool mission. Subaru asked us to take photos and videos of the all-new Subaru Crosstrek, and only gravel, please! Heck yes! We took this capable car to the Cederberg to the beautiful Sewefontein Guest Farm and Retreat Guest Farm. The Subaru Crosstrek is the car for an active lifestyle.
Farming is fascinating, hard, real… We love going to the countryside (and always dream of living just surrounded by nature). So when we were asked to document a day of the olive harvest on a farm close to Caledon, we immediately said YES. The key was to take portraits of the pickers and orchard caretakers. We loved spending the day with the crew as well as get to know their nicknames for each other and take in the scenery on a very hot day. We’ve shot a lot of “Mercs”, but never the G-Class! So finally, a few months back we spent a week in Andalusia, the south of Spain. Starting from Malaga, we went on a 5-day road trip to shoot this orange rusty beast dream car. It was a super fun production with a great team. One thing though is for sure: challenging weather for four days, the rainiest shoot of our career. What an adventure!

Last week Nafi Thiam broke the indoor pentathlon world record in Turkey. (A pentathlon is a contest featuring five events.) It was incredible shooting her just two weeks prior for Red Bull and Iconic. It’s not often you get to meet and work with a GOAT. Thanks for the good vibes Nafi and team!

[commercial] By winning some of the biggest races in the world like the 24h of Spa and 24h of Daytona in a 911 GT3 RSR, Jörg Bergmeister knows his way around a Porsche 911. He was also the chosen driver to achieve the GT3 RS 992.1 Nürburgring lap time (6:49.328). We had the opportunity to shoot him with this beast. What a day! Shot for Porsche.
